Why a dentist aboard a military ship?
*******
Dental issues and injuries to the jaw and mouth are fair common in disaster situations as well as when dealing with battlefield casualties.
I posted the question wrong.
Why is military dentists important to the incoming patients?
Not to mention 6 month deployments with 4000 people crammed in a can.
I had to have some urgent dental work in college. The Dentist taught Dentistry 2 days a week at the Dental School and anesthesiology 3 days a week at the Medical School.
I watched the whole surgery in the reflection of his glasses and never felt a thing. Fascinating.
