I’m looking at the state numbers. NY has ~103k cases CA ~13k. NY has almost 40% of all US cases. Both states have large international airports. I would have thought that CA would be worse off as geographically flights from China are more likely to go to CA.

We need to investigate how NY got so bad.

Perhaps - but there's plenty of them opinions to go around and actual data was slow and much is still unknown because of China's 'reticence'...

If one is looking for a scapegoat to pour their anger on, then China should serve as a good target...and they know it because they are still hiding a lot of data.
