Not what this is about...The big stores carry everything people need under one roof....food, pharmacies, hardware, electrical etc.....you won’t find at the corner clothing shop. It’s a matter of consolidating supply lines and such.

We’ve got a model to go by with stores: special hours for the most vulnerable, extra cleaning measures, safe distancing/limit number of shoppers in store at one time, checkout staff behind plexiglass and/or wearing mask and gloves, curbside pickup options.
Smaller stores can take these measures as well as the big guys and would jump at the chance. Give this lockdown til Easter and then get this country moving again.
