Roughly, 32,000 have been hospitalized for this over 3 months.
That's 32,000 nationwide above and beyond normal.
How the hell are they running out of PPE?
How is manufacturing not keeping up with demand?
I think (someone correct me) but the reason is we are having to move most our manufacturing from China to here. And I dont think that was even done in earnest until early March, when TPTB realized that they needed to step it up here.
” How the hell are they running out of PPE? How is manufacturing not keeping up with demand?”
It is, but China is keeping it from us and using it themselves and sending it to countries for political payoffs.
Because that is ON TOP of normal production.
Thats about 100,000 masks a day in excess of the norm. That 2.1 Million On top of normal production. In about three weeks. Plus all of the other countries in the world. Plus other medical facilities. Plus all the knuckleheads buying them.
Does that make sense now?
Have you ever managed a manufacturing operation?
The way it works is the big boss gives a speech and announces “we are doubling production next week”.
Then the middle managers sit in a big conference room with a flowchart that looks like a bowl of spaghetti and identify the seven hundred different parts, forty seven different machines, and another ugly chart showing the hiring and training process.
Then they all start to cry.
Welcome to the real world!
