I’m wondering if the Z-Pak is actually background treating brain infection at the same time it’s treating lung infection?

She now has the information. Many thanks for your thoughtful posting about that complication.

Zpac was included in the HCQ cocktail for secondary infections, from what I understand. Different antibiotics target different kinds of tissue, or areas of the body, so I don't know if Zpac is best for brain infections or not.

Probably something she needs to check with her doc about though. Thanks!

I don't think the Z-Pak will help with viral infections. We have done work with Pantehine for repair of the blood brain barrier. Pantethine's function was first noted in treatment of malarial infection.

We don't know if the virus alters protein expression in the brain. It is still too early.
