They had that awful New Delhi train station scene the other day, thousands of folks stuck there—had to walk home...

“the tightly woven ones?”

Does that mean thick?

I don’t know. There are thick ones like bath towels, and there are others commonly used by cooks and chefs that look like 4000 count linen sheets.

I would like to be edified.

“Maybe our favorite poster is a secret asymptomatic superspreader. ;-)”

No.

P is just an a$$hole.

I was listening to radio transmissions from Northern Italy the other day.

During the conversation the operator said two things: in one sentence he said, “It’s in everyone’s family.” A sentence later he said, “Everyone knows someone who has died from this.”

That is a stunning, but simple assessment of how this affects Italy. I hope it doesn’t hit here this hard.

“I thought they were on a very strict nationwide lockdown for 21 days?”

Started no less than two weeks too late.

Two weeks would have reduced their misery by at least 5X.

Weeeeelllll, given that my town is either about to go hot, in the process of going hot, or is already hot, with most people — perhaps myself included — not exhibiting symptoms yet, thanks to one of those infamous nursing home outbreaks that keep popping up . .

Sounds like a good idea to me!

That is probably the place in the world for which I feel worst. That and the slums in Brazil.

I saw where the gangsters in Brazil are policing and forcing people to stay home

I wonder if Russia is using their own tests now, I would assume so, but now they too are seeing a rapid rise. I wonder if they started with the terribly inaccurate ChiCom tests? I hear very little from there.

Pakistan is following the Nork/Iranian model it appears, so they don’t show weakness in front of India. There is no way their numbers are that low considering that mosques are all open still.

I saw a negative pathway study related to the otitis media. Wife was fairly certain of that also based on hospital meetings. Haven't reviewed it further.

After saying that of course there is the caveat to keep your ears covered based on an over abundance of caution. YMMV.

If you see any literature on the “ear pathway” let us know.

That would be new territory.

I wear a gator type thing on my head to cover my hair and ears then a winter sock hat to cover all of that. Double layer protection.

As a standard protocol in the past I have used diluted hydrogen peroxide in my ears to kills virus in them if I feel sick or had people coughing on me. I was assured on this site that nothing can go in through your ears if your eardrum is intact.

However, I still do it anyway.

I am sure that was the case in Little Italy in 1918
