Abortion is elective surgery, by almost any definition. In only a very small percentages of instances is the mother’s life in actual and imminent danger for failure to perform the operation, and every abortion carries a 50% mortality rate. If there is really need to remove the child from the womb, a caesarean delivery would be the correct procedure, in which the child is given every assist commensurate with the level of medical expertise available.

An ectopic abortion is not done at a clinic anyway! It has to be done at a hospital and I’m sure any hospital would do it right now.
