Interesting. A chemist at a major drug/chem company would be expected to have a publication record documented at PubMed, especially with a 1982 patent.

Boot has nothing. Listed from Knighton, England. Cannot find anything more. Boots is a name in chemistry from England (Boots created ibuprofen; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Boot), but have not found anything on Deryck.
