I’ve got a 15yr old English Shepherd.
I give it to her on her food for 2-3weeks at a time on and off.
She developed a tumor at age 12 that was supposed to be the end of her.
It didn’t go away mind you, she was already 12. Vet didn’t think it would be beneficial at her age (12 is about the max listed for ES’s) to do surgery/chemo. So we decided to wait until it started to affect her quality of life. I think the MTE kept her alive much longer than she might otherwise have had. And until the past 2 weeks it’s been really good quality of life. Sadly, I think she’s near the end though. But 15 yrs is a very long lived shepherd by anyone’s stretch of the imagination.
I’ve started giving it prophylactically to my heeler who is about 3.5yrs old.
