Idaho man went from being sick to being on a ventilator ‘within hours’
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) A Blaine County nurse has spent the last week on a ventilator.
He went from sick to on a ventilator I mean within hours, said Emily Vanderhoof.
The last time Vanderhoof saw her husband Jesse in person she was dropping him off at the hospital to get checked out. As a nurse, he spent the week before working in mobile testing tents.
Both of my Flubros friends have a money motivation in this. I’m not saying that they are greedy or anything, one lives less than paycheck to paycheck. Any type of a work stoppage puts him at risk of being homeless. He is a hard working man too, 7 days a week most of the time.
He also has a need to socialize that is higher than normal, in my estimation. He does not like to spend time alone at all, especially considering his 15 marriage just failed in December.
I feel for them. I love them both. They are just trying to make sense of what is happening, and both are struggling with that.
When I speak with them, I do try to take a more gentle approach than might be seen in some of posts to FLubros here.
Thats what I do, although its been years since I used mine.
Might want to look into getting a new leather belt for it.
They do last a long time, but eventually wear out.
Might as well get it while the getting is good.
I thought the FDA has approved emergency use of the HCQ/Zpack treatment.
Could be shortages are holding it up?

It is.
Reality also has a way of happening regardless of how many people face it or not.
This train is going to go down the tracks.
Maybe, then there are those in a land mass of 3.8 million miles that don’t buy the Bubble Boy life. Especially here in “rural” areas.
Thanks for the US updates.
NY still trending at almost HALF of all deaths, in US.
I was really surprised reading this thread last evening, when a certain (P)oster came in and started thrashing everyone as if it was us doing this to him.
As this thing goes on, it’s going to cause a good number of folks to crack and break. Maybe it will do that to me too, I don’t know.
“Well, hang in there “ Then Came Bronson.
Yeah, I understand that completely.
I had read an interesting theory on that. Regardless of how much space there is between us, we all still have to go to the store.
And that is where we are most likely to win the Pathogen Lottery.

Look how the narrative has changed.
Dr. Harvey Fineberg, chairman of a committee with the National Academy of Sciences is going to wear homemade mask to grocery shopping - April 2, 2020
(CNN)A prestigious scientific panel told the White House Wednesday night that research shows coronavirus can be spread not just by sneezes or coughs, but also just by talking, or possibly even just breathing.
“While the current [coronavirus] specific research is limited, the results of available studies are consistent with aerosolization of virus from normal breathing,” according to the letter, written by Dr. Harvey Fineberg, chairman of a committee with the National Academy of Sciences.
Fineberg told CNN that he will wear start wearing a mask when he goes to the grocery stor(e).
“I’m not going to wear a surgical mask, because clinicians need those,” said Fineberg, former dean of the Harvard School of Public Health. “But I have a nice western-style bandana I might wear. Or I have a balaclava. I have some pretty nice options.”

Good morning—time for some sarcasm, Japanese style:
Not enough masks in Japan, either—and the cartoonist is letting the Prime Minister know about it... :-)
It’s definitely putting pressure on the populace.
This is unprecedented for most of us, in our lifetimes.
I go through phases of thinking...this can’t be happening! The entire world is shut down. :-(
It can get overwhelming, but, that’s when prayer for my family, POTUS, our country and even myself, come in very handy and helpful.
I pray these people find peace.
I’m having a hard time finding the Pm 2.5 filters, for the mask inserts :(
I have some old surgical masks....those might have to do.
