3 more coronavirus deaths in Maryland brings total to 18, officials say

Three more Marylanders have died from the new coronavirus, bringing the total number of deaths in the state to 18, according to the state health department.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Maryland has risen to 1,660 as of Tuesday, the day after Gov. Larry Hogan issued an executive order requiring residents to stay at home except for essential activities, state officials said. Tuesdays total represented an additional 247 cases in the state an 18% increase over the previous day.
