We saw the Fairfield County explosion coming several weeks ago (though I don’t know why Norwalk was hit harder than other neighboring towns).
Patient Zero in NY commuted from New Rochelle to Grand Central Station—the same train station where Metro North takes Fairfield County CT commuters.
Patient Zero in CT was a NY doctor who did the rounds in Bridgeport and Danbury hospitals when he was showing no symptoms.
Right. And Greenwich was hit early with all its commuters into the City. Westport had the big party with 40+ infected from that. Stamford has now passed Greenwich with its larger and closer population. Likewise it is getting up into Hartford and New Haven. Originally the more upscale West Hartford, with its presumed international travel, was hit early, but now regular Hartford has taken over with its scale and city transmission.
CT is a microcosm of what is taking place now across the country. It’s a race of the delayed spread against the hopes of summer and treatments.
NYC just getting more painful by the hour.
