Do you know how this data on the Chinese Flu compares to the “regular flu”? That would be an interesting and perhaps enlightening comparison.
No I don’t....not tracking the global numbers, merely posting the Maryland daily count releases.
We’ve been watching that. But consider that this virus isn’t replacing regular flu cases, they’re still there. This virus is on top of regular flu cases. That’s the flaw in just the flu arguments. See yesterday’s thread towards the end for my post on flu numbers
Just try finding historical average death numbers, for whichever area you are trying to compare current rates to.
Sometimes hard to find the historical data, but....if you dig around enough, you may be able to find.

CCP-19 has roughly the same shape, larger amplitude. If you are mathematically inclined, they are both exponentials, CCP-19 has a smaller coefficient and a bigger exponent when adjusted for relative lethality. Doesn’t kill as many of the young but does kill more of the old. Relative lethality of CCP-19 is on the order of 20x as many on a per case basis.
