***JOURNALISM ON THE VERGE OF BANKRUPTCY***

The drastic plunge can potentially be even existential for especially independent outlets but also for giant media corporations that at the front might be loving the increased readership, but at the business end might be facing a crisis

This seems doubtful to me re: the 'giant media corps'... I was saying this back in the 90's and they have proved me wrong. CNN & MSNBC have lost so much viewership that they would change their approach to current events if the bottom line mattered to them. Obviously they are willing to lose a fortune in hopes of eventually changing enough minds. ABC/Disney the same thing. Like Disney, they each have other money-making enterprises that keeps the whole ship afloat; but they have compartments in the hold that are flooding with red ink - and they accept that.

The media elites are truly this country's enemies. Some have even said (stupidly) that China has a better system. Some Silicon Valley companies are helping the ChiCom military while openly condemning our military. They are our enemies and we have become entirely too tolerant - encouraged by the media elites.

The media is the enemy. Disney is dropping billions right now. The took on 57 Billion in debt to buy FOX, and just raised 6 billion in debt for operating expenses. ESPN will drop 700 million just on the NBA if the season is shut down for good. Parks raise 37% of their revenue, and those are shut down world wide. Theaters are closed, so they can't release movies. Onward was already a bust, but got dropped to "straight to streaming early. Mulan and Black Widow have already racked up expenses, but can't release and may have to drop direct to digital. All other productions on hold. Disney cruise lines is a sink hole of money right now.

Everyone talked about Star Wars being a big acquisition at 5 billion, and they've come nowhere close to making their money back on that, but the 57 billion for Fox is incredible. The mouse is in trouble, and I'm okay with that, but hate to see the working stiffs, like park employees get shafted.

IT’s all about that so called wrap up smear. They use the wrap up technique on almost everything they do. It doesn’t matter that no one watches CNN, because the politicians do and they hear something on CNN and come back to the capitol and shout HARRUMPH HARRUMPH TEXAS HAS A WHOREHOUSE In’it!!!!! and the media reports on that and they spin up and next thing you know the whole country is under house arrest.

I sometimes wonder if this isn’t the inevitable result of the liberal democracy system which rules us. The inability to tolerate any criticism or face distressing realities leads to complete lockup of the whole system. Nobody can do nothing. Stalemate. Like lying in the fetal position with its hands over its ears.
