I am one of those crazy people who enjoys casinos and hates the stock market.
Why?
Because I understand the risk/reward of the casino.
The stock market is rigged for insiders imho—and there is no transparency to be found. Corporate balance sheets are a tissue of lies, confusion, etal.
Part of why—back when I just got my MBA from a “fancy” school with a finance major (in my late 20s) I was recruited by firms that managed huge pension funds etal.
I _knew_ I wasn’t ready to manage ridiculously large sums of other people’s money—but they didn’t care—they wanted to hire me anyway!
I don’t trust those “financial managers” of “investment advisors” as far as I can throw them.
A casino—I _know_ what the deal is there.
Oh honey.
I hate to tell you.
Casinos are crooked too...
‘House always wins’ isn’t just a catchy phrase :)
You mean you didn’t want to peddle those financial “instruments”?
They were trying to recruit chess experts also.
