Agree that these (extended) measures seem to imply a more virulent problem than is being reported...or, let on.
There’s a reason for POTUS extending AND for the NORAD bunker move.
If the internet goes down, people might start shooting.
Who they will shoot at this point is an open question.
From some of the comments on ‘other’ threads, looks like LEOs or anyone they don’t think has ‘the right’ to tell them anything. And the poor unwitting health officers...
