Observation from Iowa:

Small town in SW Iowa—

Adults seem to be in quarantine. However all of the kids seem to be out and about playing. So what happens when the asymptomatic kids spread the disease among themselves then bring it back home to parents and grandparents?

Among adults, few seen using masks, but most appear to be practicing social distancing.

Price of gas, ranging from 1.69 (rural) to 2.09/gal (urban/interstate).

It looks like most of the spring breakers stayed on the east side of the Mississippi river when they returned home. :-)

My husband and teen son are fishing at our neighborhood lake today. They went separate with their kayaks and launched separately. Being super careful since my husband’s business puts him in one hardest hit counties in GA, and was deemed “essential”.

So, life has changed considerably, it is a weird feeling. I hugged my son a long time today. He and I are 3 weeks out from contact with anyone and I know the isolation is driving him crazy!
