I also see folks trying to compare cases per capita for different countries/states/counties - you’re not going to get anything usable because these areas are at different stages of progression - some countries even have different strains.

UK has caught up to the US (deaths in both countries double every three days). Italy will probably have over 10,000 dead by tomorrow afternoon. But Italy only has a doubling rate of about week, lower than everyone else on this chart except South Korea. France and Spain both are at about a five day rate.
Scary numbers. This is a long way from being over. Barring a miracle cure, quarantine having an effect, or some other positive turn in our favor, which forces our US number lower, we in the US may see the greatest number of deaths from this.
