This was days after announcing support for small business help during the crisis. His name is Thomas Schäfer.
Interesting tidbit - Germany’s economics minister is a gent named Tarek Al-Wazir. I did not think that possible in Germany, but there you have it.

The body of Thomas Schäfer, finance minister for the German state of Hesse, was found on train tracks near Wiesbaden. Police suspect the 54-year-old died by suicide.
The body of a man identified as Thomas Schäfer, the finance minister of the German state of Hesse, was found on a high-speed train line in the town of Hochheim between Frankfurt and Mainz, police confirmed Saturday.
