Ain’t no ambiguity at all with unlawful combatants. When I talked about renaming, reconnaissance vs surveillance, could do recon, but not surveillance. Area vs specific. One is law enforcement the other military. Although as you know, we can do surveillance as part of our regular duties as a Marine. Fortunately, military missions have a name for just about everything so that ‘ambiguity’ plays into this. We didn’t do anything against the statutes restricting military acting as law enforcement. When I did these as Intel, never had a USC’s identity, the LE did of course but it is illegal for us to have had them. We weren’t Susan Rice after all.
