The "pick and shovel" days of mining are long gone.
Most miners are now skilled equipment operators.
This sets them up for "same but different" jobs that they can easily train into.
"Coding" is not one of them, but to a "journalist" or politician who knows so little, they don't know what they don't know, it is.
