In the US average auto deaths are about 3,300 per day.

They were looking at averages, using 50k dead from the flu and 35k dead for car wrecks in a year. Comes to about 232 deaths per day for both.

I was just trying to find daily death numbers for the USA but couldn’t find anything simple that tracks it (help!?).

But I think yesterday there were 740 deaths, and now we are over 1000 deaths - so something like 260 deaths today.

Of course, the average number of car and flu deaths will still be 232 for tomorrow. Covid-19 deaths will be 300+ tomorrow :(.
