I believe it was the amendment to limit unemployment benefits to the amount a person was earning rather than ~$24 provided or something like that; the argument was that if someone was earning $15 then they’d get paid more than if they were working and provide no incentive to get back to work; I’m not concerned about that as much as there being work for people to go back to & IMO the country needs the limited jolt to sustain + restore & bridge a jump-started economy. TURTLE ALERT: McConnell came back to the Senate floor and submitted a block of nominations. In the past he’s worked in a few deals into these moments so I’m very interested to see what just transpired; maybe he got a few more judges!
