Chloroquine phosphate is NOT chloroquine (plaquenil). Whilst the underling structure is similar between the 2 they are not identical. They have a different molecular weight and formula. Chloroquine phosphate’s formula is C18H32ClN3O8P2 with a Molecular Weight of 515.9g/mol. CVhloroquine’s formula is C18H26ClN3 with a molecular weight of 319.9g/mol.
