Your family has a choice to work or not. It is called quitting their job. They have not quit, because they need the money.
You want to take away choice from everyone else.

There are many of us out here who live on well less than they do. It’s all about needs vs wants. Some of us are driving older vehicles. Some of us chose houses within our means. Some of us stick to a strict budget. Some of us don’t blow money out partying every weekend. Some of us pay off the credit card every month. Some of us have scrimped and saved for a rainy day.
It isn’t our fault others have live outside their means on more than we take home.
