A 100% case fatality rate, for example, doesnt mean 100% of the people who get infected dies. It means 100% of the people who get infected AND get sick, wind up dying.
This is why this 4% number for Corona is BS as many people get infected and dont get sick. This is what makes it just the flu, bro, from a death perspective.”
Bullshit.
I know exactly what the definition of CFR is. Dead over resolved for people that contracted the disease during a specific time period. You don’t have to die or recover during the time period, but you do have to do one or the other to get counted.
There is no herd of asymptomatic non-infectious people out there. If there were there would be hotspots all over the country, not just in a handful of cities. The 80/20 stat comes from contact tracing. This is from a source in the mitigation effort. You don’t get to count the mild and asymptomatics twice. Worse. You are effectively multiplying the case count by 3 or 4 times with imaginary friends.
You can’t make up imaginary infected to prop up your failing narrative. But at least you’re at the bargaining stage, now, it seems.
“I am worry about that too.”
They’ve been doing that for awhile. I’m not sure how they are doing it, but they are looking at better numbers than we are being given. That’s the only way to explain shutdowns in areas that have very few reported cases.
They are of course all working on the same models in terms of expected healthcare capacity, current infected cases, infections spread rates and the various shutdown measures’ expected effect on those spread rates.
Cops, firemen, health workers, and other essential workers use the transit system to get to work. That is the only reason it is being kept open.

BOOM! Flubros win!
The number of people diagnosed with the disease DOES NOT equal the number of people infected.
So I am only marginally off, to the degree that healthy people get tested and are still infected.
So the 4% cant be applied to the general population - it only applies in those locales where only the sick are getting tested.
Im glad I was able to visit NYC last summer - just as Im Glady stepson fled to Jersey now.
So, why’d you lose control over your personal finances/trust fund?
Inquiring minds want to know.

We are a republic. Governors make decisions on state levels. If you are looking for a dictator, CCP may be your place.
It does make sense. It’s fast and it’s cheap. And now it’s empty. Health care workers don’t live near the hospitals, usually.
We need a new thread.

I went and picked up an additional gun and ammo while the FluBros were scoffing at hand sanitizer shortages. No customers besides me were in the store. They ran my background check in less than an hour.
I went out days later for other items, my last trip out, and decided to pick up more ammo - hunting ammo, this time, just in case I need to put food on the table the old fashioned way - and the store was packed, out of a lot of different kinds of ammo and had bouncers. They had a huge stack of backlogged background checks and were telling people to expect it to take 24 hours. The guy there, owner I think, told me they had sold hundreds of guns in the past couple of days. Fortunately I didn’t have to wait on an ammo purchase.
It is true that the true, accurate, final CFR can't be determined until after the epidemic is over. But that doesn't mean it is not a useful statistic even during the epidemic, if you are careful to understand its limitations. One such limitation is that you have to understand that it is probably higher while the epidemic is still underway than it will end up being once it's over. But if during two epidemics you see one with a CFR of, say, 50% and another with a CFR of, say, 1%. Which one would you pay more attention to?
Also, my comments to impimp were because he/she misunderstands what the CFR is, and then using that very misunderstanding to justify the flubro position.
If you qualify for Chapter 7, your discharge will wipe out your medical bills along with most other general unsecured debts (for instance, student loans fall into this category but aren’t dischargeable). There is no limit to the amount of medical debt you can discharge in Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Any medical bills you paid with your credit card will also be discharged along with the rest of your credit card debt and other qualifying obligations.
However, to qualify for a Chapter 7, your disposable income must be low enough to pass the Chapter 7 means test. Find out more about the steps youll take in Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Illinois Coronavirus Cases Now Total 1,535 With 16 Deaths
The new case total marks a jump from the 1,285 cases reported Monday, and health officials say the number will continue to rise
Published 1 hour ago Updated 1 hour ago
At least 1,535 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in Illinois, marking an increase of 250 in the last 24 hours, including four new deaths, health officials said Tuesday.
The four new deaths, which lift the state to a total of 16 fatalities associated with the virus, include a Chicago man in his 50s, two Cook County residents in their 60s and a DuPage County resident in her 90s.
“ALL options really, really suck.”
It’s war. In war, all options are bad. Some are really bad.
If they can ramp up testing, get tested clear. They can go to work. 55 and older, you need to get cleared.
65 and older...stay inside.
I am not thrilled with the idea...
The 401(k) was the single worst financial product ever created. It has lead to short term thinking, poor seniors, and has handed incredible power to a small group of financial analysts who will crush your company if you dont dance to their tune.
Plus, Americans on average, have become financial morons.
