I’m so impressed with the progress I can’t even articulate it!

you can message me any time because except for recently, I’ve taken to turning the volume down on my phone at night. I usually wake up off and on during the night and check it, but since it’s covered with a pillow, I don’t usually hear it.

You’re right. Mostly because the Darwin factor isn’t as real for us as other countries. But, as my GM, use to say, “our time is coming”.

That morning Floof looks like a cousin to yesterday’s.

Good morning.

Well, there’s an experience for you. I was up far longer than I wanted to be and I think in the last 26 hours, I managed to get six hours of sleep.

I have no idea why, either. Long about the 19th hour, eight hours after the last pain meds (which were OTC) I realized that what was keeping me up was pain. So I took a pain pill along with my normal first dose of supplements and that’s what I needed. And here I am, ready to go take a shower and see if I can wake up.

It’s going to be a very slow Sunday.

Good morning. I’m glad something worked for you, more or less.

I dreamed that Kathleen ate the lizards.

Thanks. Now all I have to do is hang in there and hope the day doesn’t toss me a curve ball to where I fall asleep at the keyboard. Or in my crochet project.

Now, I’m going to go clean the cages because I didn’t get it done yesterday. My bad. It’s a 10-minute job. *sheesh*

Frank has turned up. He can feed the lizards. I’m afraid to let Kathleen near them!

So, did you look up “lizards” or “reptile” to see what it meant? That’s always my first impulse when I dream of something unsettling.

You can be as cheerful as you want to be. It all depends on what you choose to ignore.

We live in “Interesting Times”. Don’t buy that newsrag.

Friend, I DON"T purchase ANY newspapers, news magazines, news letters, or watch any of the communist news networks on the large BOOB TUBE hanging over my fireplace!! I come here and go to ONLY those web sites that I have found to be Christian or conservative, for the news. At least they will tell me what is the truth, with the crap filtered out, as best they can understand it.

Hell, I don't even trust Fox News anymore. They have three or four good conservatives on their channel. But, I also go to Newsmax TV and watch there and get news from them. They have been on DirecTV for a while now. They were not advertised by DirecTV as being there. Normally on the guide, Direct will tell you about new channels or they make the new channel pop up on your favorites selections if you are using that and not the "all channels I can get" mode on the control.

I have selected "Favorites 1" and that is the only channels on my guide. It was like they were not going to tell us Newsmax was even there. But, I heard on the radio they were, and found them when I got home. So, no one can be trusted. I trust only one person on this earth, and that is my wife, and her AFTER my LORD Yeshua!! Simple as that.

Yes, I am well and cheerful today, (well, as cheerful as I am likely to get, considering that I am a confirmed curmudgeon).

There’s plenty of bad news out there to get one down, but there’s also a plethora of exciting and interesting news as well, thanks primarily to Elon Musk, who is singlehandedly making his own science-fictiony universe to play in, and is willing to share his toys.

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own. "

The above is from Matthew. Also read Ecclesiastes, for those who haven't.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m slightly partial to curmudgeons. ;o]

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own. "

But Today

I’m worried about next week,
When some debts are coming due,
And concerns about my family’s health,
Are constantly in view.

But today, the sun is shining,
And my heart is quite at peace,
For the moment, at this instance,
I’m not looking for surcease.

I have some years behind me,
And more yet still ahead,
But on the whole they pleased me,
More than filling me with dread.

For today, the birds spread wings of joy,
To embrace the world “this much”,
Just as do I, in reaching out,
To keep my heart in touch.

In the distant future, when I as memory,
Will haunt the hills and hollows,
Of a changed vicinity,
Then my touch will be as follows:

Folk will be seeing rainbows,
Or singing birds in flight,
And sometimes thoughts of mine,
Will then intrude upon their sight.

For tomorrow will be coming,
While I wend another way,
And my focus will not be with things,
That may be coming, but today.

I’ve ridden on the bus past the Churchill Arms, and next trip I’ll go inside it. As soon as masks aren’t required for flying!

Kensington isn’t an area of London I’ve explored. As soon as this Silliness ends I shall be darkening its door. :)
