I will be a few days before I find that “more room.” Right now, I need to find a container to house the items removed from the drawers in the secretary, and make room of the bookshelves for books I removed in a fit of something.

On my way to Walmart.

The good news is there was no delay at the library. The bad news is The Salvation Army store wasn’t open, although there were employees to receive the donations. They thought the store might open in a couple of weeks.

If the thrift store in St George is open next time I go for a doctor appointment, I want too try and check out what’s “new.”

I cleaned out the desk, but had to use a TV tray for a stand for the VHS/DVD recorder and the TV. The legs on the TV are at the sides and that makes it difficult to find something to put it on. Right now, it’s leaning against the wall on top of the TV tray.

The bookcase is almost empty and I’ll move that out of the bedroom tomorrow. Maybe. Or not. Depending on what I hear about the folks coming to pick it up. At any rate, I’ve been told I’ll be getting a “goodie bag” when they come, and I hope it has at least one frog in it!!

Maybe tomorrow, I can work on the bookcases and take a few pics as I go.

I was hoping to find something new to wear. I looked in Walmart, but there was nothing. I’m afraid I’m going to have to sew!

It is only a concern, when you have put your clothes on backwards, to discover that they fit better that way.

Yes, that would be odd.

That’s just it — they didn’t fit at all... and for the briefest of moments, I thought it wasn’t me I saw. Freaky day. And it’s not even Friday!

I saw some cute pants that would have been excellent for my trip, but... The lasagna ingredients called to me...

We have four. Maryann (black) and Ginger (orange) who rule as queens of the barnyard and house cats Calvin (Maine Coon) and Andre (Marmalade).

Andre is a floofy little teddy bear of a cat who believes that human hands are for petting him. When we have guests he quickly appears and does his "I am so charming! Don't you want to pet me?"

Calvin is still growing and probably will keep doing so for another couple of years. He regards the world and visitors with suspicion. He believes that the best place to be is draped over the human you are guarding so they can not slip away and run recklessly into danger.

Ginger and Maryann are always together and are a very tough pair of cats. They just showed up on day and decided to stay. The vet says that they were not chipped and no one around us claimed them. Likely they were dumped. They allow a few scritches on the head but do not like to be picked up.

Oh, wonderful! They sound like so much entertainment! Are the two newcomers friendly with the other two? Or do all the cats have strict indoor/outdoor areas to inhabit?

I’d love to see pics of them!

Hot day here. Kathleen has her riding lesson at 5:00, so at least we won’t get sunburned.

I’m boiling chicken to make chicken salad. I expect Jake will show up from wherever he’s hiding when he starts to smell it.

I couldn’t believe how suddenly tired I was yesterday afternoon. It was as if I hit a brick wall, and everything stopped.

Chicken salad sounds wonderfully summerish. Today is lasagna day!! Because the recipe fills a 9” X 13” baking pan, I’ve decided to cut it in half. I love the stuff, but I don’t think I could eat the full recipe, even in a year.

So, today, I’ll try to make order out of chaos and put the books away and try to get some filing done. That’s going to be fun. </sarc

Good morning. I didn’t get the chicken salad made. By the time we got back from the stable, I had only 10 minutes before an online church meeting, so I ate some of the cold chicken with lettuce. I’ll make the salad later this morning.

Back in a minute with a kitten ...

“Da right one will bof ya, da lef’ one will sock ya, and DIS one will nok ya ded!”

What a sweet little floof!! Every once in a while, you post something so absolutely, ferociously sweet that I would gladly trade the birds for a cat!

I need to get off my backside and get busy doing something so that my place is semi-presentable when I leave. I don’t want to come home to the current clutter.

When a person’s self-chosen profile photo has an ugly, sneery, frown, I think others should avoid that person.

I leave the 17th. I think I have to be in St George for the shuttle by 0715 so I have time to lock up the truck and make sure I have everything together.

The key safe needs to be moved inside the vehicle, “just-in-case.” I’m also going to put the clutch lock on for the same reason.

So. Almost done with one part of the filing, then on to the next project. It will either be more filing (bills) or putting books away.
