I’ve been busy this morning, but I can’t tell you how. Just that my back is hurting, right now because I’ve been on my feet almost as long as I’ve been awake.

Ace Hardware sent me a $5 Birthday coupon, and I’m going to get a bug light for the front porch light. Then the oil change and then the library. Tomorrow, I’ll go to Dollar Tree for birthday and Mother’s Day cards, and then to Lin’s to see if they have the beer I like. Hopefully, there will be enough centavos to get a six-pack.

Oh, thanks for reminding me that I need to mail a birthday card to my mother and a Mothers’ Day card to DP’s stepmother!

Regarding the upcoming liberation, I’m trying to have low expectations to begin with, and it will take a while for the trauma symptoms to abate, I’m sure.

As soon as we get home from the campout (next Thursday), I’ll hire a cleaning service to make the room as good as it can be, and then we’ll get the Epic Fail Painting Service to repaint, if they like, and then we’ll move Vlad and Frank in there and fill the closet with the family’s items, and ... I’m waffling on “change the locks.”

That would make me sick beyond being able to visit. I would be as sick as I was the day after I was taken to Vegas for a First-Ever Hockey game. I don’t have enough from for the extra clothes I would have to bring, or money to replace the ones I would have to throw away.
