Right you are. There is no good reason to ask those kind of questions. This census thing is way out of control. All they need to know is how many citizens live in my house. They dont need to know anything else.
But if they persist in asking nonsense questions, I will persist in giving them nonsense answers. Or I wont answer at all.
I originally put in “Earther”, but my son insisted a change everyone as US Citizen because that is the question they should be asking.
Ten years ago I put in Irish/Viking in “Other” and this time around they let you do that under “Caucasian”. From this, I surmise that a large number of people were eschewing the caucasian category in favor of Other where they then described their caucasoid ancestry.
