I filled mine out online. Took 3 minutes. Pretty hard to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States....[and] bear true faith and allegiance to the same” while ignoring an explicit Constitutional requirement!

Likewise, typical of questions that have been asking since 1850 (the first census that listed everyone in a household. Prior to that, only the name of the head of household was listed. Causes no end of problems for genealogists). As for the angst among some over the telephone number, not to worry. Those who really count in government already have your telephone number, as well as your conversations. Trust me on this. No silly Constitutional restrictions getting in the way for them.
No one is ignoring the count, it is the prying into your private life and such for not specifically listed information demands.
