All deep freezers are sold out in about a 100 mile radius.

They all use components made in China. Many of the small sized ones (under 10 cu. ft) are made by Haier (Chinese company) either under their brand name or a retailer's badge. So, new ones won't be available for awhile.

An alternative might be to find an older/broken model and get in rebuilt or repaired? That will be possible until the supply of spare parts dries up.

Wow, I thought that I was the only one that understood our meltdown will go beyond toilet paper and bottled water. Since you mention it, it’s probably not a bad idea to stock up on a few of the minor parts for my old refers. I think I’ll start on that. Thanks!
