I also think his research for THE CHRIST film humbled him and greatly challenged him to become a better person.

You couldn’t research and make a movie like that one without it doing something to bring you closer to God than you already are...I have that movie on DVD and watch it once a month...in this world right now you have to have something like this to ‘ground’ you or you would be killing all of the Government...

Great points.

I forced myself to watch it as the minimum just due for what Christ suffered.

However, I think it was around age 7-10, I experienced an extremely *intense* spiritual connection-identification—something.

I grokked at a much deeper-than-average level the extreme suffering of Yeshua. I became virtually hysterical. It was as though I couldn’t stand to be in my own skin; to be alive; to contemplate such horrific suffering FOR ME. I was beside myself and quite on the edge of utter hysteria.

I think mother finally tried to calm me by saying that MAYBE God helped Jesus bear it all somehow.

So watching THE CHRIST was extremely difficult for me. I don’t watch most such. I feel the pain too intensely; however vicariously.
