One thing at the CNN article jumped out at me:
“Fauci was specifically asked about some of Trump’s comments, including his assertion that China should have told US officials about the coronavirus three months sooner. That would have been around September, and there is no evidence Chinese officials were aware of the virus at that time.
“It just doesn’t comport with facts,” said the interviewer, Jon Cohen.”
I have not listened to every China virus presser, nor read every single thing Trump has said on this topic, but I have never heard him or anyone mention that China knew the virus was circulating in September. November is what I heard Trump say, and mentioned many other places, and just yesterday saw somewhere (not from Trump or his admin people) postulate October.
So it is likely that Fauci put up a straw man to attempt to show that Trump is a Know Nothing.
I wonder how long he’ll last. If he as good at his medical stuff, that’s what’s important; if he is trying to subvert Trump and the admin efforts, that is another.
