Fewer cell phones is a function of economic losses much more than deaths. I’m sure US carriers are losing a lot of customers too. Unemployed folks tend to cancel plans within their household, especially kids. Employers laying off millions and canceling cell phones is a big chunk too. Wait 6 weeks and I suspect you will see US carriers reporting 1M-2M fewer users. Maybe more.
