I don’t enjoy sewing. Will do it but it’s a chore. Starting in 6th grade, I had to make my clothes. We were far from poor but parental units were, well... It wasn’t until college and on my own that I had store bought. I would whip up a new outfit now and then in college and help the twirler redesign her costumes every week.
Have to watch the budget these days so sew out of necessity, not pleasure. Did teach the kids so they’d have another life skill and sent daughter off to college with a spare machine.
IOW, start your own damn circle. :-)
