The first machine I bought was a White and boy it is heavy. The tension is messed up and the reverse doesn’t work. Thirty years ago, I bought a Singer. It works well enough but nowhere like the old (relative term) ones did.
I have my great grandmother’s Singer and a zillion gadgets for it. That’s where the CV mail lands.
I have my original Elna....with a million cams.
Mom bought it from an elderly neighbor who had kept it in perfect service and kept every receipt, book, cam, accessory, etc. Built (and looks) like an Army tank.
It’s still fun to get out, every so often.
