Fuel deliveries during quarantine:
I deal with the Pac Nw refineries daily, as I transport propane from them to wholesale customers. I have talked to some of the board operators at the refineries, and if they get the order to lockdown there will be two operating shifts inside the wire continuously - until further notice - on twelve hour shifts.
The other two crews will be locked out - and paid.
Since people will be at home using heat, industrial and agricultural users will also still be operating, we will be providing fuel up here regardless. The fuel stations will be open, the natural gas will flow, homes will get heat. Demand for refined fuels will decrease, JetA will decrease, diesel and propane will remain normal.
This is the terminus from the Alaska pipeline, and the crude from ND/WY/MT is shipped here as well. Those feedstocks will continue to flow.
Good news!
Thanks.
Sounds like the energy industry is on top of it.
All the critical industries are standing tall.
Thanks for that info!
