I had a couple of boxes of old masks (5 years +) sitting on my shelf. good 3M N95s.
I asked my wife’s hospital if they could use them, and they said no because they were expired. That hadn’t been cleared for them yet.
I took them to the MIL’s nursing home this afternoon. You would have thought I brought them manna from heaven. Same health system. That’s the difference between local and national managed. They said, “old is better than none.”
Once people get “excited” enough, they will let folks do whats best for them.

Exactly. Bureaucracy will cost a lot of lives Im afraid. I just hate that the CDC is held up as some kind of god when it comes to advice about a virus they know so little about. They dont have a great track record with the diseases they DO know about.
