I remember seeing pictures of huge piles of discarded cell phones at Chinese crematoriums. That was before the ChiComs shut down the internet even more than usual.

IIRC, they can't burn pacemakers, they have to remove them from the, um, client.

Otherwise when they get hot enough they explode with enough force to blow the door off the chamber. This is very hard on the operator.

A cell phone might pose a similar risk...
