INTERNET RUMOR

I don’t know exactly what this is, purports to be a video of a radio where you can hear a speaker (dispatcher?) speak of a Houston lock down on Monday. National Guard dispatched, first responders only on streets, all others arrested. Looks like a police radio, I can’t tell. For what it’s worth with a grain of salt.

That’s what I was thinking, when I saw the pic.

It does say thick plywood, though...lol.

Mine isn’t handling it well at all. Hasn’t from day one.

There were lights on in nearby weekend rentals early this morning meaning they arrived last night late. One had kids out for just a bit this afternoon but no one else. It has the feel of owners bugging out from the city. Creepy.

You can take a look at the one Gov. Wolf handed out in Pa......stunning what he’s willing to close down in manufacturing, truly.

Was on a conference call today and a couple of network engineers from Northern New York were on the call and described their day.

The sites they are assigned to told them they are not considered essential - so they aren't to come into work - they said they will call them if something breaks.

Immediate pushback. To his credit, their Area Director told the sites the NEs are either essential or non-essential per the Governor's EO - and that the sites don't get to decide that based on changing local circumstances (networks down = essential, otherwise = non-essential). He told them if they are non-essential and not at the sites, they are going to be assigned elsewhere.

Now the sites are sweating, because if the NEs get transferred elsewhere, there won't be anyone in the local area for break/fix actions, PMs, other regular maintenance, etc.

The NEs said they will find out this weekend if the sites change their mind on essential vs. non-essential. Good guys who just want to do their job, but site owners are can't see the forest through the trees.

Anyone think internet would go down?

It’s possible but then there’d be panic like no one has ever seen.

They are doing well, thank you for asking!

I often feel they are kept quiet.

If I were in ANY city, I’d want to be bugging out, too. You’re probably right.

So scary.

Unless they have armed guards that plywood isn’t going to stop anyone. They KNOW that they won’t be arrested for pulling down boards. They know they won’t be arrested for breaking a window. So pull down board? Cop’s show up? Yes. Wait for them to catch and release. No? Break window? Cop shows up? Yes. Wait for them to catch and release. No? Enter store steal liquor.

“INTERNET RUMOR”

Apparently Houston addressed this video and debunked it in a press conference today:

Corona attacked from the west, from the east and now from the north. The Southern border will be the real killer.

Not surprised Pa’s pushing back.....this is a mans man country no matter how you slice it. They’re caring and full hearted individuals but don’t pee on their boots and tell them it’s raining...as is said.

The first machine I bought was a White and boy it is heavy. The tension is messed up and the reverse doesn’t work. Thirty years ago, I bought a Singer. It works well enough but nowhere like the old (relative term) ones did.

I have my great grandmother’s Singer and a zillion gadgets for it. That’s where the CV mail lands.
