"Meijer was low on bread and certain canned goods, but other than that it wasn’t horrible."

My youngest son lives in Carmel, Indiana, and wrote this to me on Wednesday:

"I am annoyed by the widespread panic and stupidity. I went to Meijer yesterday and so many shelves were empty it looked like they were in the middle of a going out of business sale. Soo I had to go to Kroger to get Italian sausage because Meijer had none. So I go to Kroger and they have signs in the meat section telling people they will not sell more than 3 of one item because people are going nuts and buying up everything so no one else can have any. Luckily they had Italian Sausage."

When there's a rush on groceries it isn't just people wanting to stock up, it's other people who know the hoarders will be out in force and therefore shop as well,....waiting for ones normal shopping day always produces complaints from those who think something should have been left for them.

Took me more than a couple times to ‘read the handwriting on the wall’ close enough to get what I needed ahead of the rush and complaining....there's a pace that happens in events/happenings and you can learn when the tempo is about to change.
