One can make the scriptures prove almost anything...But at the same time, the scripture DOES prove that the oneness of Christ is in purpose AND being...But no amount of biblical proof will be sufficient for those of your religion since the problem is unbelief in the scriptures...

God the Father was manifest in the flesh because he doesn't have any flesh of his own...But yet he does...Jesus is his flesh...

The bible is the basis of the doctrine of the Trinity, not the Athenasian Creed...The Creed was written based on the information that was found in the scriptures...

Sorry teppe - that is called cherry picking. that verse must also be viewed in light of John 1:1, Colossians 2:9 Titus 2:13, 2 Peter 1:1, Deuteronomy 4:35,39 Deut 32:39 and Isaiah 43:10,11. Just to name a few. Those who bother to study the nature of God in the bible note:
1. There is only one TRUE God in all existence
2. The Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are all called God
