Bad:

I neither agree nor disagree with the Imperial College model.

The reason I am discussing it here is that I believe world leaders are following it.

The future will tell us if they are indeed following it, and whether it is a good or poor strategy.

Models like this are very complex, and even the best plans can turn into disaster in the real world.

Understand, and the Imperial College modeling has definitely informed U.S. and European decisions. However in the nomenclature of refined academia, conclusions from Taleb, et al’s response are damming. Statements like:

“However, they make structural mistakes ...”
“Their assumptions are equivalent to ergodicity . ..”
“The model they use . . . is therefore not well suited for incorporating real world conditions at fine or large scale.”
“Focusing on details but using incorrect assumptions makes for bad policy advice. Where lives are at stake, it is essential for science to adhere to higher standards.”

In gunfighting terms, the Imperial College team has been called out.
