“Also, we are spending less because we stocked up on non-perishables in Jan. or Feb.”

Very true. I had huge credit card bills through a couple of weeks ago, but now I’m spending next to nothing - although I would like re-fill my freezers when the FluBros are done with their panic-buying.

“Japan might approve anti-flu drug Avigan to treat coronavirus patients”

- see https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2020/02/22/national/science-health/flu-drug-avigan-coronavirus/

An older story from 02/22, but it was in The Guardian today (where Chinese officials declared it “clearly effective”).

Once they publish their research, it can be reviewed/validated.

Yeah, we ran up the cards early to be ready and then paid them off next pay period. Now we don’t have high balances or much to shop for. Just ordering stuff for delivery. Aside from perishables we’re set for months.

The FluBros are all out infecting each other and getting trampled in stampedes, no doubt.

Interesting point to ponder about credit card debt. In short order people who have lost their incomes due to this virus will be facing certain financial hardship.

Even those whose incomes are above 100k per year often have this compete with the neighbors mentality. They are broke!

I don’t care about the credit card debts people have. My main concern is the home mortgages, car loans that people will not be able to pay.
A stimulus check will not fix this. Do you think President Trump will order banks to halt payments ts to these institutions? I am a huge Dave Ramsey advocate, I’ve seen the levels of debt people carry. It’s scary. There could be millions who will lose their homes and vehicles through no fault of their own even if they were living outside their means, they were still living.
