You may be content to lose your Constitutional Rights due to leftist and media (but I repeat myself) hysteria, but I’m not.
I also don’t relish the idea of destroying the economy over this ridiculous hysteria. This insanity will result in the destruction of small local businesses and the loss of many jobs.
As a result, the demonrats now have a greater chance of victory in November. Another Freeper made an excellent point: The demonrats will use this event as an excuse to implement their own draconian restrictions on our way of life due to their “Climate Change” religion.
Are you willing to accept that? I’m not.
As for this virus, just use common sense and you’ll be fine. I don’t even think about it.

To a point I agree with you...as long as you have personally assessed that that your higher ups are acting with integrity and not with hidden motives against the freedoms of the populace. You serve regular civilians too....never forget that lest you find yourself never welcomed back into your hometown and by your family for serving what turns out to be despotism in the name of safety and security! Nazis believed they were obeying legal orders, too....or at least tried to justify their heinous actions by asserting so.
I don’t envy your position though when you reach encounter a situation that does reach a level of righteous shooting of your own fellow citizens.....some will never accept what you did even though it was the right thing to do. God gives governments the right to wield the sword to combat evil, disorder and injustice. He never gives the right to governments to force their subjects to renounce their faith...but that is another question.

It’s a pretty big deal to local restaurant and bar owners. My employer called to let me know they are closing at 5 tonight, and for the first time since I’ve met her she sounded a bit discouraged. Not selling any drinks is a financial hit, even if people order takeout. As a server I just lost my grocery money for the next few weeks.
