A single traveler from China infected 39 people in Washington state with China’s coronavirus, according to virus expert Trevor Bedford.

“Thanks to sequencing by @UWVirology @CDCgov and @seattleflustudy we have genomes for 39 viruses sampled from WA,” he tweeted Tuesday. “Importantly 35 of these 39 viruses (90%) fall into a single genetic cluster indicating a single ~Jan introduction from China and subsequent local spread.”

The article doesn’t mention (that I could find) this guy’s steps, in between arriving here, from China and admitting to hospital.

Did he make a stop by the nursing home? Is he living with a nursing home care giver?

I caught a bit of the news conference today. A reporter asked Trump if the thought the Chinese would discontinue shipment of antibiotics to the United States. Trump said they had incentives not to do so -— twice. Wonder exactly what those incentives are.
