I feel so much for you, Trump Girl. My heart also breaks,seeing these same things. My parents fled Cuba so that we would not have to grow up in this. We’re being told this is just temporary and necessary. But I can’t help but believe we have left the world we knew behind, and this is not temporary.
As has been discussed in this thread, we may have shortages of items made in China for now, but toilet paper is made in America!

Thinking the same way you are that the country we have known will never be the same, I am far more afraid of that than I am of some damn virus!! I have not been able to shake the feeling of seeing that store in that condition I can’t get it out of my mind, my eyes have filled with tears several times today OMG what has happened to America the greatest country on the planet absolutely heartbreaking!!{

I agree - the new normal will not be anything like the old normal. Enjoy what’s left of it, as the world we knew slowly starts to deteriorate.
