There is plenty. Problem is every manager we’ve talked to said they only stock tp at opening. Once it’s gone, it’ gone. Never mind they have a ton in the back. If people would see it being continuously being restocked, they wouldn’t worry. The store managers are the ones at fault for playing games.
I stopped at Target this morning - bare shelves everywhere. I talked at length with a real nice man who was restocking shelves. He said they get ONE big 18 wheeler trailer arrival every morning around 6 am. They unload it and start stocking shelves by 7 am. Hand sanitizer and wipes are put on shelves sometime after that depending on how the truck was loaded.
He said lines form for the critically short things and the shelves are empty of sanitizer and wipes just 10 minutes after they restock the shelves. You have to be in line at that part of the store when the restocking takes place.
I seriously doubt there are any "hidden" stocks in the back.
They dont have a ton of anything in the back. The stores are not that big.
They have trucks coming from the warehouse every day. The warehouse get deliveries all the time. The orders coming into a store are usually generated on an inventory program with historical deviations in them.
You need to find out when the trucks come. No trucks til Monday overnight at the store up the street. It used to block the street for a couple of minutes n my way home around 11 pm.
Actually, if they kept putting it on the shelves until it was gone, there would be none left for the hardy morning shoppers. The deliveries don’t come every day. The stores are doing a little rationing to prevent total panic. This way they can say come back tomorrow early in the morning when the trucks get here.
