What's next? Military in the streets enforcing curfews and lockdowns and shoot anyone that steps outside?
How do you expect people to stay calm with so many politicians freaking out? California, Ohio, and Illinois want to close all bars and restaurants. Gov. Cuomo wants the military called up. Some cities are talking about curfews.
This is quickly escalating out of control. And the result of this panic is going to be worse than the disease.
It doesn’t seem to reach to Michigan.
All Ohio, here in Cincy, too...gotta folks gonna hurt bad after this.
DeWine’s reaction seems over the top kneejerk. Why not do what Michigan is doing and just do it for effected counties? Areas?

WA state: Joint Base Lewis McCord - off base fast food is drive-through only, inside seating closed.
Thanks for the heads up.
I don’t find many [any?] restaurants with heart health menu items so it’s not a big deal to me since I only go when I’m traveling.
Tinfoil off.
A friend of mine who is a waitress is out of work as of 9 pm tonight. This will be very hard on her.

Im guessing these closings are an attempt to slow down the virus
to allow more time for vaccine development to catch up.
I agree. Lockdowns could be next. Then unrest. Then martial law. Unbelievable.
Free Republic is the epicenter, the epitome, of Coronavirus hysteria and panic. No one yanks about the flu, and no one freaks out.
How will these places survive? How will employees feed their families, who will make them whole? These over reactions are more dangerous than the virus. In the past 3 weeks we have flown, gone to 2 different casinos, several restaurants and stores, rest areas, and hotels. Kept our distance and washed our hands. Saw nobody showing symptoms and we came across thousands of people! This is over reach by a government deep state that was losing control. People need to get a grip! A couple thousand cases is nothing.
Ohio Ping
No, people are freaking out because they know how fragile liquidity is. You stop economic activity, then there is no cash to pay workers who have mortgages and loans and credit card debt. Then the banks fail. etc. etc.
It will be hard on many people. And if I owned a restaurant with no drive-thru I’d be pretty hot. Clear case of uneven treatment by the government.
Youngsters are gleeful. Calling it it The Boomer Remover.
